Omorinsola Babajide, the Super Falcons forward, has indeed completed her move to AS Roma on a free transfer after parting ways with UD Tenerife in May 2025. Here’s what we know about her transfer.
Babajide has signed a two-year contract with AS Roma, which will keep her at the club until June 30, 2027.
As a pacey winger with technical skills and unpredictability, Babajide is expected to bring depth and international flair to AS Roma’s frontline. She can operate on either flank in an attacking trio. Babajide has been handed the number 30 jersey at Roma.
She’ll join fellow Nigerian international Shukurat Oladipo at AS Roma.
Babajide is currently representing Nigeria at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco and is expected to link up with her new teammates after the tournament concludes.
Born in England to Nigerian parents, Babajide previously played for clubs like Millwall Lionesses, Watford, Liverpool, Brighton & Hove, Real Betis, and Tenerife before joining AS Roma.
This transfer marks another significant step in Babajide’s career, which has seen her play for top sides in England and Spain. Her move to AS Roma is seen as a step up for the forward as she enters what many believe will be the prime of her career.
