The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) in Big Data Management and Analytics (BDMA) is a prestigious, fully funded program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to excel in Business Intelligence (BI) and Big Data (BD). This two-year, 120 ECTS program immerses students in the latest BI and BD methodologies, emphasizing how data-driven insights shape strategic decision-making within organizations.

Program Highlights

Through the BDMA program, students will:

  • Study in top European universities across Belgium, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and France, including the Université libre de Bruxelles, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Technische Universität Berlin, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, and Université François Rabelais Tours.
  • Attend the European Business Intelligence and Big Data Summer School (eBISS) and choose a specialized track in their third semester.
  • Gain hands-on experience in the field through industry-led projects, internships, and a master’s thesis in the final semester.

Scholarship Coverage

Erasmus+ provides scholarships to support selected students from Partner Countries, including:

  • Tuition Costs: Up to €9,000 per year.
  • Travel Allowance: €2,000–€3,000 annually, depending on the student’s distance from Brussels.
  • Installation Allowance: A one-time payment of €1,000.
  • Monthly Stipend: €1,000 per month for living expenses throughout the 24-month program (note: the stipend is not provided during periods spent in the student’s home country).

Additionally, insurance covering Erasmus+ requirements will be provided for all scholarship recipients.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 180 ECTS) in computer science from an accredited university.
  2. English Proficiency: An internationally recognized test equivalent to CEFR level B2, such as IELTS (5.5), TOEFL iBT (72), or equivalent.

Application Process

Selected candidates will receive the scholarship funds in installments:

  • Two yearly installments covering travel costs.
  • One installment for installation costs.
  • Monthly payments for subsistence costs.
