How to Apply for Undergraduate Scholarships

When applying for a scholarship, you’ll generally need to submit an application form or letter along with the required documents to the sponsoring organization or university.

Each scholarship has its own application process dictated by the awarding body. For instance:

  • For the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) scholarship, you must submit your completed online application at a designated JAMB center where you will take your CBT test, along with necessary supporting documents like photocopies of your educational certificates, testimonials, WAEC certificates (with originals for verification), your National Population Commission birth certificate, state of origin/LGA certificate (signed and stamped), and four passport-sized photographs with a white background.
  • The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program, which partners with several universities, requires you to submit your application directly to the partner university’s scholarship webpage.
  • For the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students at Robert Gordon University, you will need to send your scholarship application form and supporting documents via email.
  • If applying for the Agbami Medical and Engineering Scholarship, you should scan and upload your documents on the scholarship portal.
  • For the Gani Fawehinmi Undergraduate Scholarship, applications should be sent by post to the organization’s address along with supporting documents.
