The Bode Amao Foundation (BAF), a non-profit organization established in 2002 by Chief Bode Amao, OON, is pleased to announce its 2024/25 scholarship program for Nigerian undergraduates. This scholarship initiative is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and leadership among Nigerian youth, focusing on supporting students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
About the BAF Scholarship Program
The BAF Scholarship is open to deserving and indigent undergraduate students enrolled in Nigerian universities. This scholarship provides financial assistance to help them complete their studies without prejudice to gender, age, religion, or ethnicity. Since its inception, the foundation has supported over 247 students from diverse regions across Nigeria.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will receive a full scholarship and an annual stipend of N100,000 for each academic session until graduation, provided they maintain high academic performance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the BAF 2024/25 Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in at least the 200-level of their current university program.
- Demonstrate high academic achievement, with CGPA being a significant factor.
- Be an undergraduate student in Nigeria.
- Obtain certification from their university’s Registrar verifying their status as indigent.
- Only registered Nigerian students may apply.
Universities Supported by Zone
The BAF Scholarship has previously supported students across various Nigerian universities, categorized by zones:
- South West: 8 universities, including the University of Ibadan and Obafemi Awolowo University.
- South East: 4 universities, such as the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
- South-South: 5 universities, including the University of Calabar.
- North East: 2 universities, such as the University of Maiduguri.
- North Central: 5 universities, including the University of Ilorin.
- North West: 4 universities, such as Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Required Documents
Applicants must provide the following:
- Completed BAF application form
- Academic transcripts
- Letters of recommendation from recognized authorities
- Valid university student ID
- Local Government Area (LGA) Identification letter
- Original medical certificate, including HIV status
- JAMB and university admission letters
- Course registration form for the current academic year

- Attach all necessary documents.
- Obtain an attestation from the university’s Registrar confirming enrollment for the current academic year.
