Governor Godwin Obaseki, of Edo state, addressed protesters in Edo state, yesterday. This happened after he came down to the secretariat, at sapele road. And also at the governor’s house, Benin City.
He promised to be a point of communication with the president Tinubu, he expressed of knowing the people’s grievances and pain, he then promise to convey the protesters message to the president.
He also assured the people of adequate and maximum security to protect them and to prevent hoodlums and thugs that will be trying to hijack the protest.
“As your governor, I know you are not happy. You are hungry. I am here to let you know that any message you have for me; I will take it to Abuja to give Mr. President. The level of hunger is high and I will take your messages to Abuja,” he said.
“I have heard all you said. You demanded eight things: three I will handle myself and I will take the other five to Abuja. School fees and agbero will be reduced here in Edo. But for the price of fuel and cement; that is for Mr. President to handle.”
