Nigerian veteran actor, Patrick Doyle, had stated that Brainjotter has not committed copyright infringement against Mike Ejeagba’s song, the highlife singer, who sang, Gwo Gwo Ngwo sound.
The sound have been going round on the social media, it’s being used for a dance trend.
Many people had attacked Brainjotter, saying he should pay the veteran singer, at least N100 Million for using his work.
Patrick Doyle, who was once the president of PMAN, stated that Brainjotter breached no laws, and that he owes nobody anything.
A while ago, Brainjotter gave the veteran singer, N2 Million. Which a lot of people criticize of giving the man, peanuts out of what he will be earning.
Doyle, said the money was just a gift from the skitmaker, not a compensation. “The sound did not last long enough for the required duration to be considered for royalties” he said.
