BREAKING: Okpebholo Sworn in as Edo Governor, Succeeds Obaseki

Show us some love, share our story!

In a significant political shift, Monday Okpebholo has officially taken the oath of office as the new governor of Edo State, bringing an end to the eight-year tenure of Godwin Obaseki. The inauguration ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the state capital.

This transition comes just two months after the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured the governorship ticket for the prestigious Dennis Osadebay House. Alongside Okpebholo, his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, was also sworn in, marking the beginning of a new administration in the South-South state.
