The Embassy of France in Nigeria is launching a new scholarship program to finance a Masters degree in a French university for the academic year 2025/2026. The deadline to submit your application is deadline of Etudes En France (1st of December).
This program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and implemented by the French Embassy and Campus France Nigeria.
The applications must respect the eligibility criteria and thoroughly follow the application procedure stated in this call to be considered.

Applicants must apply through Etudes en France to a public university with tuition fees that do not exceed €4,000 per year.
Note the in France, a Masters program usually lasts two years (M1 + M2). The scholarship covers two academic years if the scholar is admitted in M1, and one academic year if the scholar is admitted in M2.

Embassy of France Excellence Master Scholarship Courses

Requirements for Embassy of France Excellence Master Scholarship
- Have Nigerian nationality and reside in Nigeria
- Under 30 years old
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in management
- Have completed National Service
- First Class or Second Class Upper applications will be given priority consideration
- Be fully committed to take up a course of study in France for the academic year from September/October 2025
- French proficiency is not a requirement for application
Selection Process
Timeline:
- 1st December 2024 : Deadline for application submissions on EEF platform
- 8th January 2025 : Beginning of the Campus France academic interviews (in Lagos and Abuja offices)
- 25th February 2025 : Deadline for payment to take the Campus France interview
- 15th March 2025 : Deadline for Campus France academic interviews
- The reviewed applications will be transmitted automatically to the connected institutions by April.
- 30th April 2025 : Deadline for pedagogical committees and school decisions
- 1st May 2025 : Deadline for student to pick their institution of choice
- From May to June 2025 : Interview for scholarship recipients
- July 2025 : As soon as selected, start of the visa application process.
- September/October 2025 : Beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year, departure for France.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:Applicants should note that information about the France Nigeria Scholarship Programme can only be obtained at our Campus France Nigeria offices in Lagos and Abuja. This particular application does not attract any processing fee. Beware of fraudsters as no other individual, group or third party entity has been engaged to assist any applicant.

- Undergraduate transcript (in one or 2 documents maximum)

- Recommendation letter from your university (not mandatory but strongly recommended)
