The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship (AU EGLS) at American University is an incredible opportunity for international students dedicated to academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful global engagement. This scholarship supports students who aim to create positive social and civic change in underserved communities back home.
The 2025 AU EGLS provides full tuition, housing, and meal plans for two international students requiring a non-immigrant visa (F-1 or J-1) to study in the U.S. While it covers most university expenses, students will need to budget for non-billable items like health insurance, books, travel, and miscellaneous costs, estimated at $4,000 annually. The scholarship is renewable for four years, provided students meet academic requirements.
