The federal government of Nigeria has begun the sales of 50kg bags of rice to Nigerians in order to curb hunger and the alarming economic burden on Nigerians.
Nigerians are required to have their NIN, in order to have fair distribution.
The sales kicked off in Abuja. Speaking at the launch, the honorable minister of agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari, commended the president for his intervention for giving orders to protect food security in Nigeria.
“This food intervention is timely, given the current economic challenges facing the country.
“Let us work together to ensure that the dream of the administration to uphold the fundamental right to food for all Nigerians is achieved,” he added.
He also said “One man, one bag,” is the initiative of the sales.
