The federal government recently approved over N1.7 Billion, which was disbursed approximately for 20,000 students so resolve the student loan.
In keeping the promise, the federal government just approved another, N850 Million. This was acknowledged by The National Education Loan Fund(NELFUND).
The NELFUND Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyer, revealed this while speaking in a press briefing in Abuja.
“The sum of N850 million will be transferred from NELFUND’s account to institutions today. This is separate from the N1.7 billion that has previously been disbursed,” Sawyer said.
This is part of the effort to assist average Nigerian parents and students in covering school fees and other school expenses, over 1.2 Million students will be benefitting from this bill signed by president Tinubu.
