KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden offers a range of scholarships each year, aimed at high-achieving students from non-EU/EEA/EFTA countries who have applied for a Master’s program at KTH as their first choice. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, and KTH provides several options, including the:
- KTH Scholarship – covering tuition for the entire Master’s program
- KTH One-Year Scholarship
- KTH Joint Programme Scholarship
- KTH India Scholarship

Eligible Fields of Study
All KTH Master’s programs are eligible for the KTH Scholarship, except:
- Joint Erasmus+ programs
- EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, and EIT Urban Mobility programs
- Nordic Five Tech programs
- Joint program in Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering
Scholarship Value and Duration
The KTH Scholarship covers full tuition for both the first and second years of study, provided the recipient achieves satisfactory results during their first year. Please note, the scholarship does not cover living expenses.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be required to pay tuition fees
- Have KTH listed as their first-choice Master’s program
- Meet all program-specific admission requirements
- Hold conditional or unconditional eligibility for their chosen program
The scholarship selection is based primarily on academic achievement, and only applicants admitted to a Master’s program are considered.
Application Instructions
- Apply for a Master’s Program: Submit your application via universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2025.
- Submit Scholarship Application: Starting 1 December 2024, apply for the KTH Scholarship through the KTH website by selecting “Apply Now” when the application portal opens.
