Miss South Africa: Chidinma Adeshina withdraws from the pageantry

Chidinma Adeshina a contestant for Miss South Africa has withdrawn from the pageantry contest.

She said she has been receiving threats, which she also said were linked to her family.

Some South Africans recently signed a petition to remove her from the pageantry, based on her nationality, this started when she was announced as a finalist in July.

Afterward, the government leveled the allegation of fraud and identity theft on her mother.

The 23-year-old, in a recent post on Instagram, has decided to withdraw from the contest for the well-being of her and her family.

She thanked the organizers and her supporters and she wished the remaining contestants the best of luck.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish my fellow finalists all of the best for the remainder of the competition. Whoever wears the crown represents us all.”
