Popular American singer and actress, Mariah Carey, lost her mother and sister over the weekend.
The singer disclosed this on Monday.
“My heart is broken that I have lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day. I was blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed,” Carey said.
Mariah’s mother, Patricia, was a well-known Opera singer before her death, and she collaborated with her daughter numerous times.
‘My mother is the inspiration behind my music career’, Mariah had previously revealed.
Mariah Carey has an estranged relationship with her sister, Allison.
