Nancy Isime speaks amid the backlash for the use of hijab in her new movie.

Popular Nigeria actress and event host, Nancy Isime, has been facing social backlash on her new movie, titled ‘Blood Brothers’ the poster which posted, generated a lot of controversy; because she was dressed in an hijab and with a gun.

This has made the Muslim faithful to call for the ban of the movie. In reaction to this, the Muslim Rights concern (MURIC), has called on the National Film and Video Censor Board (NFVCB) to ban the movie.

In a recent post, Nancy Isime replied her trolls and the people calling for the ban of the movie.

“I don’t bother nobody and I’m not bothered by nobody. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personal.

“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities & shortcomings, which they will then project back to you as a flaw. It is a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.

“Isime baby, omo ologo 5g. The brightest light. The city on a hill that can never be hidden. Nancy Isime. Big name with big force. Getting talked about does not faze me. Look at the people who are talking.”

One of her fans, who was surprised by the ridiculous request to ban the movie commented,

@chuka029 I blame some gullible people that supported Muslim/muslim ticket that made them think that this umu okoko are in charge to have the guts to believe that a particular dressing is for their religion all this America movies using hijab to detonate bomb how many times una protest and boko haram using them how many times una carry una backwardness confront them ,this people are really taking naija 200years backwards I think they should be in thesame country with Niger or Chad or northern Cameron because they have same mentality very backward
