The NNPC/MPN Joint Venture (JV), through the EMOIMEE Host Community Development Trust Incuti-Eket, has unveiled the Eket Emoimee Scholarship Scheme, a transformative initiative designed to support the educational aspirations of indigenous students from the Ikot Abasi Local Government Area (LGA) of Akwa Ibom State.
This scholarship program reaffirms the JV’s commitment to education as a catalyst for societal growth, nurturing local talent and empowering future leaders.
Scholarship Details
- Sponsor: Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company
- Funding Type: Partially funded, valued at ₦400,000 per academic session.
- Eligibility: Indigenous students from Ikot Abasi LGA studying in accredited Nigerian tertiary institutions.
- Application Deadline: December 2, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be admitted into an accredited tertiary institution (private or public) within Nigeria.
- Have completed at least one academic session.
- Meet the academic requirements:
- Universities: Minimum of Second Class Lower.
- Polytechnics/Colleges of Nursing: Upper Credit.
- Colleges of Education: Merit.
- Maintain stipulated academic standards throughout the scholarship period.
- Not be receiving any other scholarship during the scheme.
Applicants must also exhibit good conduct, avoiding involvement in cultism or any other clandestine activities.

Completed forms must be submitted to the designated offices no later than December 2, 2024.
