The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, played a significant role in a pre-inauguration event for President Donald Trump in the United States.
The event, titled Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation, was held at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church and organized by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry in collaboration with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. It brought together faith leaders and believers to pray for the nation and its incoming administration.
During the programme, Pastor Kumuyi delivered a powerful prayer, challenging the American church and its leaders to prioritize holiness and righteousness as critical steps toward spiritual renewal and national revival.
Kumuyi prayed, “Almighty God, we thank You and bless Your name. What a great and glorious God You are. We thank You, Lord, for the church in America. You said upon this rock You would build Your church, not just for that generation but for every generation, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
“Lord, we come in preparation for the celebration of Donald Trump, the president tomorrow. Grant him wisdom and give the church unity, revival, and the courage to speak truth to power. Revive, restore, and purge Your church that it may be holy and righteous, with a meaningful ministry in government and for America.”
In an interview with SRN News during the event, Pastor Kumuyi further prayed, “Almighty God, You chose to bring President-Elect Donald Trump to leadership at this time. Grant him grace, wisdom, and focus to honor Christ and uphold the values he emphasized during his campaign. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
While in the U.S., Pastor Kumuyi met with notable individuals, including former North Carolina Representative Robert Pittenger, Lucas Miles of Turning Point USA Faith, and members of the media.
Today, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath of office during the inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.
