Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme for Bachelor’s Degrees

The Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme offers fully funded scholarships for Qatari nationals and children of Qatari mothers, helping recent high school graduates pursue undergraduate studies both within and outside Qatar. This program covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, travel costs, health insurance, and living expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a Qatari citizen or the child of a Qatari mother.
  • Be between 17 and 24 years old.
  • Have graduated from high school within the last three years.
  • Hold a minimum high school score of:
    • 85% for Qatari nationals.
    • 90% for children of Qatari mothers.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency with an IELTS score:
    • 5.5 minimum (5.0 in each section) for Qatari nationals.
    • 6.0 minimum (5.0 in each section) for children of Qatari mothers.
  • Pursue a major that aligns with Qatar Airways’ accepted fields of study.
  • Be medically fit and pass necessary health screenings.

Additional conditions apply, such as the requirement for Qatari-mother students to complete all prior studies in Qatar, and male Qatari applicants must show proof of completing or deferring national service.

Application Process

The application has two stages:

Stage 1: Initial review and shortlisting, where selected candidates will be invited for interviews and further assessments.

Stage 2: Final selection, where candidates will provide additional documentation, such as police clearance, guarantor financial details, and health tests. Those selected must sign a five-year work commitment contract with Qatar Airways upon graduation.

Required Documents for Application

Applicants should prepare the following:

  • Personal ID, passport copies, and a recent passport photo.
  • High school certificate, IELTS results, and an acceptance letter from an approved university.
  • Proof of scholarship status from Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Labour.
  • Additional documents for students of Qatari mothers, including mother’s ID, birth certificate, and proof of education completed in Qatar.

  • Study Locations: Qatar, the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and other countries as specified by Qatar Airways.
