Overview of Scholarships
Temple University offers merit scholarships designed for international students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance. For first-year students, these scholarships can provide up to $20,000 annually for four years. Transfer students may also qualify for varying amounts based on the criteria set by the applicant pool and available funding. Notably, students do not need to submit a separate application for these scholarships; simply applying for admission automatically qualifies them for consideration.

The merit scholarships range from $2,000 to $10,000 per year for a maximum of four consecutive years (four years for first-year students and two years for transfer students). Awards will be based on the best creative responses to the prompts, independent of the student’s academic credentials. Additionally, recipients can combine these scholarships with other financial aid awards. Winners will be announced by April 1.
