Trent University 2025 Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students Worldwide

The Trent University Scholarship is open to incoming international students who exhibit strong academic performance, community involvement, leadership skills, and a need for financial assistance. Trent University provides a variety of scholarship options for undergraduates starting in Winter (January), Summer (May), or Fall (September) 2025.

These scholarships are designed to reward academic excellence, leadership, and community service, ensuring high-performing students receive support to succeed at Trent.

Benefits of the Trent University Scholarship Program
Trent University offers multiple undergraduate scholarships:

  • Trent International Global Citizens Scholarships and Awards: $2,000 – $25,000
  • Trent International Tuition Levy Scholarship: $25,000
  • United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarship: $25,000
  • Justin Chiu International Scholarship: $3,000 – $15,000

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, you must:

  1. Be an international student paying international fees.
  2. Hold a study permit for studying in Canada.
  3. Have applied for an undergraduate program at Trent University for the Winter, Summer, or Fall 2025 term. (Postgraduate certificate and Master/Ph.D. students are ineligible).
  4. Meet Trent’s general and degree-specific admission requirements, including English Language Proficiency.
  5. Have a final high school average of 80% or higher (Canadian equivalent).
  6. Complete your scholarship application through the myTrent portal before the application deadline for your cohort.
  7. Accept and meet the conditions of your conditional offer and register for courses to receive the scholarship.

Required Documents
Please prepare and submit the following:

  • Applicant’s details
  • Financial resources and estimated expenses
  • Personal statement (max 500 words)
  • Community service and extracurricular activity list (up to 3 activities)
  • Reflection on community service/extracurricular involvement (max 500 words)
  • An essay on a topic of passion (max 500 words)
  • Two recommendation letters

Application Process
Interested candidates should apply online at www.trentu.ca. The process involves applying for admission to an undergraduate program at Trent University. Once admitted, students can apply for scholarships by selecting the “Apply Now” link.
