Overview:

The Umi Mentorship Programme is dedicated to empowering mothers of children under three years of age. It connects them with experienced mentors to foster growth in parenting, partnerships, and professional life.

Programme Details:

  • Launch: June 2023
  • Support: Mothers from 12 African countries, including Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, have benefited from this programme.
  • Next Cohort: February to April 2025
  • Format:Primarily virtual mentorship with optional in-person meetings

Benefits:

  • Mentorship:Pairing with successful mentors experienced in child-rearing
  • Peer Support:Participation in mini-circles with four other mothers for peer mentorship
  • Workshops: Weekly focus on mental health, physical well-being, career development, and family dynamics
  • Community: A supportive environment for personal and professional growth

Eligibility:

  • Must be a mother living in Africa or the diaspora
  • Have a child between 0 and 3 years old
  • Open to personal and professional development
  • Interested in connecting with mentors who have similar experiences
