University of St Andrews 2025 School of Divinity MLitt Scholarship: Up to £5,000 for Eligible Students

The University of St Andrews School of Divinity is offering an exciting opportunity for students pursuing an MLitt degree. This scholarship, valued at up to £5,000, is aimed at widening access for students from traditionally excluded or underrepresented groups in academia. 

Eligibility Criteria 

The scholarship is open to: 

– Applicants starting a full-time MLitt course in the School of Divinity in September 2025. 

– Students enrolled in an online MLitt course that extends beyond September 2025. 

Preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria: 

1. Applicants from Developing Economies: Defined by the United Nations (refer to Table C of the eligibility document). 

2. Underrepresented Minorities: Self-identifying members of excluded or underrepresented groups. 

3. Historically Underrepresented in Divinity: Includes students from ethnic minorities, those with disabilities, and first-generation university attendees. 

4. Socio-Economic Disadvantage: Applicants from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds or households with an income below £34,000. 

Applicants are encouraged to highlight how their circumstances align with these criteria and provide additional arguments supporting their application.
