Kamala Harris, the vice president, secured the ticket as the presidential candidate for the Democratic party on Friday.
She will be contesting against Donald Trump of the Republican party. The U.S. election that’s coming up November.
Harris, in turn has been getting a lot of support after President Joe Biden, stepped down from the reelection and nominated Kamala Harris as a candidate for the Democratic party.
No other candidates challenged her for the ticket, this makes her the first Black South Asian woman to secure the presidential ticket
